MKDSA – Fans Discussion Over Stewarding

In recent weeks there has been a most unpleasant stench of political correctness and nit-picking at stadium:mk.

Honest, die-hard supporters have been thrown out of the ground for ‘standing up too much’ or ‘singing too loudly.’

Stewards, under instructions from the club it must be remembered, have acted to remove fans for the crime of supporting the MK Dons TOO passionately.

It is with great pleasure that we hear the MKDSA (Milton Keynes Dons Supporters Association) have agreed a discussion to be held between the club and a host of supporters.

In attendance will be club chairman Pete Winkelman, club director Sue Dawson, Gary Alger, MK Dons Safety Officer, plus members of the MKDSA.

Supporters have been asked to complete a form on the MKDSA website if they wish to attend the meeting, being held on Thursday evening.

It is hoped, for the sake of all parties, that a deal can be reached that will see the atmosphere at home matches remain passionate and strong, whilst also being able to accomodate new fans to the stadium, particularly families and elderly citizens.

However, it must never be forgotten that this is a football club, with football supporters watching a football match at a football stadium.

It isn’t the opera or the ballet! Some people need to be reminded of that before the good, honest, working-class Dons supporters are driven away from the club for good.
