It was with great surprise that I learnt, through the powers of the internet, that our former loanee goalkeeper, Ricardo Batista, had signed for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
The 21-year-old played nine times for the Dons in 2006 after a loan spell from Fulham.
He has now joined Sporting from the Cottagers, for a fee believed to be in the region of £120,000.
Batista kept two clean sheets during his spell under Danny Wilson.
