Ian Holloway’s Premiership new boys come to Stadium:MK

Fighting Talk:

Karl Robinson, on the defeat at Carlisle, told mkdons.com: ‘It’s a learning curve for us, when things aren’t going your way you’ve got to dig in. What I will take from today is that when we lost our shape we looked an average team.’

‘Up to now and during pre-season our shape has been fantastic and up to about 40 minutes today they barely got in, so when our shape’s right we don’t concede as many chances.’

MK Dons Team News:

Mathias Doumbe could be handed a starting spot after his second half appearance at Carlisle shored up the defence.

Jude Stirling, Aaron Wilbrham and Pele remain out of action with injury, and Gary MacKenzie is still believed to be working towards match fitness.

Player to watch: Daniel Powell

Should Robbo opt to continue as he left off with the Dagenham game, keep an eye out for Daniel Powell, who caused Birmingham no end of problems in pre-season with his blistering pace.

Blackpool Team News:

Ian Evatt misses out after his dismissal at the Emirates on Saturday.
Brett Ormerod may start after returning to the squad.

Dekel Keinan, a new signing from Maccabi Haifa, could feature.

Player to watch: Charlie Adam

Should Blackpool opt for a full strength side, then keep an eye out for Adam, the star of Blackpool’s meteroic rise last season.

A set-piece specialist, he is sure to cause the Dons problems.
