Jemal Johnson’s grand American ‘find me a club’ tour seems to have finally come to an end.

The tricky winger appears to have been unsuccessful in his attempt to convince DC United and Kansas City Wizards to purchase his services.

As a result, he will return to Woughton for training tomorrow, with boss Karl Robinson ready to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Speaking to assembled media after Thursday training, Robinson said: ‘JJ’s in for training tomorrow. I need to have a chat with him and we’ll see where we go from there.’

Robinson also hinted that both he and Johnson want to part company as quickly as possible. ‘The Club needs to bridge a gap with its budgets – it’s just what every club needs to do – and JJ maybe wants to play his football somewhere else.’

Into the last year of the contract given to him by Ince last summer, JJ doesn’t seem to stick around MK for the upcoming season. With the transfer deadline coming next week, Robbo has to act fast.
