MK Dons win 2-1 at London Road.

Goals from Kevin Gallen and Keith Andrews gave 10 men Dons 3 precious points at London Road today.

The first half was an entertaining 0-0 affair in which both teams dominated chunks of the 35. Posh pressured the Dons for long periods but the Dons defence managed to shut out the inform partnership of McLean and Mackail-Smith. Although much of the half was spent in the two final thirds of the pitch, the closest effort was George Boyd`s header that glanced wide of the post.

The second half saw MK come out the stronger, and 2 minute into the half Kevin Gallen latched onto a magnificent 60-yard pass from Andrews. Gallen was never going to beat Morgan and Blackett for pace, but he superbly held them both off and fired home into the top corner from 18 yards. As the away crowd erupted Gallen guided past the terrace as the rest of the team joined him.

That goal rocked United and 9 minutes later it got worse for the home side. Andrews played a 1-2 with fellow centre midfielder Colin Cameron and then chipped the emerging Tyler with a quality finish.

Dons then missed two golden opportunities in Mark Wright who missed an open goal and Kevin Gallen who just could not reach from 2 yards out.

With twelve minutes to go and the Dons cruising, Peterborough gave MK a scare when Aaron McLean athletically converted after Lee`s drive came flying off of the bar.

MK then made life a lot harder for themselves as Drissa Diallo was sent off for a second yellow after miss-timing a challenge on the right flank, a decision that was later with by Paul Ince.

Dons somehow managed to withstand United`s continued pressure and took all 3 points meaning that they are now 7 clear of Posh.
