The Dons host Swindon with renewed confidence, hoping for a repeat of last season’s league win at Stadium:MK, rather than an imitation of the embarrassing 4-1 defeat in the Carling Cup.

Fighting Talk:

Karl Robinson told mkdons.com: ‘We enjoyed the win on Tuesday night, but my mind is now fully focused on Swindon, and hopefully we can get another result against them.’

‘We were in on Wednesday morning for an active recovery after the game, off today and back in tomorrow to make sure we’re ready for Saturday.’

Danny Wilson told swindontownfc.co.uk: ‘They’ve got a new coaching team, and a lot of new ideas which might take a little bit of time to settle down.

‘But with what we know about MK Dons, and the quality they have, we are expecting a stiff fixture.’

MK Dons Team News:

Mathias Doumbe may have done enough to convince the manager that he should start alongside Sean O’Hanlon, whilst Tuesday night’s hero Lewis Guy may be pushing for a start.

Gary MacKenzie, Jude Stirling and Aaron Wilbraham all still miss out through injury.

Also of note is that Didi Hamann has now played twice this week – a third may well be past his capabilities.

Player to watch: Easter

Two goals on Tuesday, Easter will go into Saturday’s game with the world off his shoulders.

Swindon Team News:

Charlie Austin sat out training yesterday (Thursday) with a hamstring injury, but will travel to MK.

Lecsinel Jean-Francois has a chance of recovering from injury to force his way into the squad.

Player to watch: Charlie Austin

If he does indeed make it to match fitness in time, look out for Austin, prolific after joining Town from Poole last season.
