A new era begins this afternoon as Roberto Di Matteo’s first game in charge kicks off against former Premier League boys Reading.

Steve Coppell is understood to be set to field a strong line-up for his side’s trip to stadium:mk, while the Dons could be lining up with a string of trialists in their own starting eleven.

Paul Mitchell may be fit enough to make a long-awaited return from injury, after breaking his leg over a year ago, whilst other first-team regulars Danny Swailes and Drissa Diallo could participate on their own comeback from injury.

Vital Dons will be bringing you a match report on the fixture shortly after the final whistle blows at stadium:mk.

No Swailes/Diallo today, but nice to see Mitch making his comeback. I think there is a role for him to play this season, if he regain his long-term fitness.
