It seems that Tottenham Hotspur have won the race to sign Dons midfielder Dele Alli before today`s deadline.
Newcastle were thought to be the leaders in the race to sign Alli, and Aston Villa also interested, but now The Mail that claims Alli is set to sign for the London club.
The fee will likely be around £5million and, to the relief of fans, Alli should be loaned back to the Dons for the remainder of the season.
He would become Tottenham’s first signing of the transfer window so far, so maybe the 18-year-old was a target of theirs all along.
Manager Karl Robinson has spoken of wanting the best for Alli and Spurs are not only a good club but one where Alli will hopefully get a chance in the first team.
