Hitchcock joins Crewe on loan

MK Dons striker Tom Hitchcock has signed for Crewe Alexandra on loan until the end of the season.

Crewe, who currently sit 23rd and five points from safety in League 1, have a shortage of strikers due to injury and departures in the transfer market.

Hitchcock scored three goals in six appearances for Crewe when he was on loan from QPR in 2013, before scoring five times in eleven games on loan at Rotherham. His loan spells while at the Dons however have not been so successful with spells at Fleetwood and Stevenage yielding few goals.

In truth, given the lack of opportunities he`s been given by Robinson in one and a half seasons, the 23-year-old would have to be prolific at Crewe to stand a chance of getting a place in the Dons side on his return.
