Wigan have completed the signing Brentford striker Will Grigg who was a target for MK Dons.

Grigg played a vital role on loan at the Dons last season as they won promotion to the Championship, scoring 20 goals, and Robinson made an attempt to sign him in the summer.

The Dons bid however was deemed too low and Grigg will drop down a division to play at Wigan for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £1 million.

The 24-year-old would likely have been our main target this summer and it`s disappointing that a player who was important season can`t be signed for the level above. However, the hope is that Robinson will still have the resources to bring goal scorers to the side.
