Having captured former Millwall free agent Ed Upson only a few days ago, the player himself has now been speaking of his excitement at a new challenge at MK Dons.

Speaking to the Official Website having become manager Karl Robinson’s first addition ahead of the new 2016/17 campaign, he admitted it’s always an unsure time for a footballer when you know your contract is coming to an end and there isn’t a renewal offered, but he’s pleased with how he felt wanted by Dons.

‘When you`re out of contract and you don`t know where you`re going to be for the next 12 months, it can be a stressful time. I`m grateful to the Dons for showing such interest in me to get it done early. It`s something I`m really pleased with because I was just as interested to come here.’

With his Millwall deal set to expire on July 1, that’s when his new contract with us will come into force, and he went on to say that he’d admired what the club had achieved over the last few years, so to be able to play his part now – well he can’t wait to get started and meet up with the boys when first team training returns.

‘I`ve admired the Club for a long time now. I know a few of the boys and the manager has spoken nicely to me and about me. Everyone is really positive and ambitious and I`m just looking to get into the team and make my mark. I`m really looking forward to next season – I can`t wait to get going.’
