MK Dons are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Ed Upson in the four all draw with Oldham Athletic at the weekend at Stadium: MK was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Upson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘A brace also came the way of Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Upson, who was the catalyst behind a superb late comeback against Oldham Athletic. His free-kick on 56 minutes had temporarily reduced the deficit, but they trailed 4-2 until the closing stages, and the 27-year-old pounced again to rescue a point after Aidan Nesbitt had halved the lead.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Upson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the point.
