To say that Milton Keynes Dons have “unfinished business” against Peterborough could be an understatement.

Peterborough were the side that ended MK Dons’ promotion dreams in 2011, beating them over two-legs to book their place in the league one play off final, which they eventually won when they beat Huddersfield.

That last visit to London Road is still raw in many people’s minds; not least MK Dons’ boss Karl Robinson.

He told Milton Keynes Citizen: ‘The referee evened it up with 10 minutes to go which was an embarrassment and now he`s in the Premier League.

‘We went into that London Road game bitter, even though we’d won. We went there angry, and I don’t think we even turned up that day.

‘I’m still bitter about it. I felt we were cheated out of the tie.’

Why is Robinson so bitter?

In case you’ve forgotten the referee sent off Stephen Gleeson and that helped Posh get back into the game with Grant McCann giving them hope.

Peterborough took that momentum forward and saw off MK at London Road to make the play off final, the rest as they say is history…

Can it be third time lucky for Robinson at London Road?

His previous two visits there as a manager have ended in defeat but MK Dons have a good chance of ending this run at the weekend and if they come back with the unbeaten league one record in tack then most will be happy, won’t they?
