You can’t keep “playing through the pain barrier” can you?

This is something that Anthony Kay had been doing to get through some of our early season games…

It wasn’t possible to do this anymore, and nor should you keep doing this as it could cause long-term problems, so Milton Keynes Dons will be without the defender for around three-months following surgery.

The pain was too much in the end and it was decided that he should go under the knife, with this taking place (successfully) at the weekend.

We’ll miss him, and probably won’t see him pulling on an MK Dons shirt again in 2013, however when he does come back he’ll come back a player that isn’t trouble by the problem any longer and that should help his game.

Kay will also be eager to get his place back so he’ll be hungry to impress on the training ground.
