MK Dons’ fine start to the season saw them collect another 3pts after a 3-1 win at Carlisle on Saturday to retain their place at the top of the league one table.

Karl Robinson, as he told BBC Three Counties Radio, was ‘proud’ of the way The Dons played and is more than happy with how things are going so far this season.

Although he knows it is ‘early days’ and the season still has a long way to go: ‘I am so proud of the fact that we can come and play football in that style. It just shows you how far we have come. But it is still very early days.

The signings that have been made were ‘very carefully’ selected, and these have slotted in perfectly, something that also pleased Robinson: ‘when we select our players, we select them very carefully. They were able to come in and look like they had been here all season and that is the most pleasing thing for me.’
