Just like watching, or should that be playing, Real Madrid! That is what it was likened to for a spell, as far a MK Dons were concerned when they beat Yeovil on Tuesday.

Karl Robinson, as he told BBC Three Counties Radio, thought his side were ‘untouchable’ for a spell in the 1st half – this was a view shared by an opponent: ‘for the first 20 minutes I thought we were untouchable.

‘I just spoke to Paul Wotton (Yeovil midfielder) and he said ‘you were like Real Madrid for the first 20 minutes, we couldn’t get the ball off you’.’

The Dons’ manager was not so happy with the missed chances in the 2nd half though.

Missed opportunities did not cost the club on Tuesday as a 1-0 win was enough but Robinson knows these have to be taken away from home: ‘second half we came out and started really well, had gilt edged chances, and you’ve got to take them away from home.’
