MK Dons manager Karl Robinson was surprisingly upbeat following his side`s 2-1 loss to Coventry this afternoon.

Coventry got two early goals and although the Dons only got one goal back through Daniel Powell, they were ultimately to not get all three points, something that Robinson recognised. He told BBC Three Counties Radio:

“I’m so, so proud of my players and the fans. If we play like that every week we’ll go up.

‘Winners accept these games and we know what we have to do turn it around and keep performances to those levels.

Close to 1,700 fans also travelled to the Ricoh and Robinson saw this a real stage in the development of the football club. He continued:

‘I’m so proud of the football club, I really am. I felt like a motivational speaker before the game. I said to them ‘you woke Milton Keynes up chaps. Don’t let them go back to sleep.’

‘I don’t think they’ll go back to sleep after a performance like that. We’ve woken Milton Keynes up. Let’s keep going.’

And we certainly don`t have time to nod off with the Robinson and the Dons back in action against Chesterfield on Tuesday.
