Deepdale

Preston and MK Dons had made unbeaten starts to the season, however Preston had secured draws as opposed to MK Dons’ wins when the side met on Saturday.

Both maintained this record, but it came with the points shared at Deepdale…

Antony Kay (10) finished well from Chris Humphrey’s cross early on to give Preston the lead, the problem was the MK Dons man had turned the ball into his own net!

Martin had to save well from Davies soon after, the former England man striking a good effort that the MK Dons goalie was equal to.

Preston were having the chances but MK Dons were level on the half hour when Banton (31) unleashed a stunning effort from range that left Rudd with no chance.

A half time lead was Preston’s once again though when Garner (35) capitalised on a defensive error from Otsemobor to slot the ball into the net for his first goal for the club, surprising really given what a prolific striker he is.

Davies, who caused problems as he always does, almost added a third for the hosts but a chance for MK Dons to level came shortly past the hour when a penalty was awarded.

Williams (63) doesn’t often miss from the spot, and he didn’t at Deepdale either with his penalty seeing the game end in a 2-2 draw.
