MK Dons winger Daniel Powell has signed a new deal to extent his stay at the club.

The 24-year-old has signed a new two-year deal to keep him at the club until at least June 2017.

The academy graduate has had mixed responses from Dons fans over the years but there is no doubting he made a valuable contribution last season. Not only did he score 10 goals, but Powell was one of the Dons most consistently picked players making 49 appearances. The hope is that his somewhat unorthodox style of play will be successful in the Championship.

He told MK Dons Player:

“It`s been the perfect year for me. It`s been a project of the Club`s to get into the Championship and now hopefully I`ll be able to enjoy two more years of playing at that level, if not higher.

“I`ve been here since I was 14, so it`s been a while now. I`ve seen the Club grow and grow and to be a part of that is a great privilege.”
