The 2014/15 league 1 season moved into the second weekend with Milton Keynes Dons in action again, away on this occasion.

A five-goal thriller at London Road on Saturday ended with Peterborough United getting the 3-2 better of MK Dons on Saturday.

Chances came for both sides in the first half but it was Peterborough that broke the deadlock in injury-time Kenneth McEvoy (45+1), with the aide of a big deflection, to go into half time one-nil up.

Minutes into the second half MK Don were level though when Dele Alli (48) managed to force home a rebound after Will Grigg’s effort came into his path.

A draw was looking likely as the game moved into the final 10-minutes but then Posh restored their lead as Kyle Vassell (81), who was brought on, finished off Jon Taylor’s pull back. Four-minutes later Vassell (85) beat David Martin to make it three.

Daniel Powell (87), also introduced as a substitute, set up a grandstand finish to make it three-two but an equaliser couldn’t be found and we lost for the first time this season.
