There was movement in and out on stadium:mk on Thursday as the loan window slammed shut.

Karl Robinson clearly feels that he has sufficient cover to allow Izale McLeod and Jon Otsemobor to move on from MK Dons, as both did in loan moves on Thursday.

McLeod had been linked with a move to Northampton for a number of weeks, initially Robinson was reluctant to allow this but has now relented and the 29-year-old will stay with the Cobblers until January 5th.

It’s been a struggle for McLeod since he returned to the club at the start of the year and I have to admit that I don’t think he’ll be missed that much. If he can get some regular games and goals during his loan it might boost his confidence (and he’s very much a confidence player) so he could still have a future with us?

Former MK Dons players, and ex-teammates of his, Clive Platt and Mathias Kouo-Doumbe are already at Sixfields so he joins some familiar faces.

Otsemobor is another that’s found regular football in the starting XI a little more difficult to come across this season and in order to get more of this he’s joined our league one rivals Tranmere, also until January 5th.

In fact the fullback hasn’t even featured in our last two squads, with him also linking up with a familiar face as our former striker Ryan Lowe of course moved to Prenton Park in the summer.

These are good moves for all concerned I’d say.
