Leyton Orient 2-0 MK Dons

For the first time MK Dons felt defeat at the hands of Leyton Orient, with The O’s collecting the three-points in the battle of the sides pushing for a late play off spot.

Ian MacLaughlin was called on to make a number of saves to keep MK Dons in the game in the first half, however had it not been for Leyton Orient’s keeper Jamie Jones then Shaun Williams’ freekick would have opened the scoring just before the break.

As the game edged towards a goalless draw Gary Sawyer (81) volleyed home for Orient to break the deadlock late on.

Three-points, and a chance of still forcing a late place in the League One play offs, were secured by The O’s in the dying moments as Kevin Lisbie (90) finished to make it 2-0 as he made the most of gaps at the back at MK Dons pushed for a leveller.

In reality the chances of either side making the play offs are slim, whilst not quite terminal for MK Dons with the momentum with Orient they would seem the more likely bet to breach the gap.
