Ian Black, the ex-Rangers midfielder who the Dons are reportedly linked with, has revealed that he has got options south of the border.

He told Sky Sports News: ‘I’ve got a few options down south and I think I’m going to go there. It’s just a case of weighing them up, picking one and hitting the ground running with the challenge.”

HITC Sport has reported that both the Dons and fellow promoted side Preston are interested in Black.

The 30-year-old midfielder was released by Rangers on Wednesday and Robinson is indeed looking for a midfielder, especially one that could be obtained on a free transfer. However, the Dons manager may equally prefer a younger player to partner Darren Potter and replace Dele Alli, possibly on loan from a Premier League club.
