Samir Carruthers enjoyed a successful loan with Milton Keynes Dons last season, before it was cut short, and now he is back at the club.
This time though it’s on a permanent basis with him signing a three-year deal after an undisclosed amount was agreed with Aston Villa on Wednesday.
21-year-old Carruthers is happy to return with it like a ‘homecoming’ for his after last seasons loan spell, which he was disappointed to come to an early end.
He told the official website: ‘It`s exciting and it`s what I wanted. Obviously I know the Club from before, I`m pleased to be back and I can`t wait to get going again. It`s like coming home.
‘The knee injury was hard at the time and no player wants to go through that, but I`ve come back fine and my knee is healthy.’
Currently he has a slight thigh problem picked up in pre-season with Villa, but this isn’t anything serious and he is looking to get back into the first-team thoughts of Karl Robinson ASAP.
