Milton Keynes Dons, despite claims to the contrary before his signing was confirmed, have snapped up Kyle McFadzean.

The highly rated former Sheffield United defender has signed for MK Dons for an undisclosed fee from league 1 rivals Crawley Town to become Karl Robinson’s third signing of the summer after Danny Green and Mark Randall.

McFadzean told the official website that this was a move he’s been expecting for a number of weeks so was delighted to have it confirmed and can’t wait to begin his new challenge, which he felt he needed.

The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract with MK Dons having the option of a third for the defender who had been central, no pun intended, to Crawley previously.
