MK Dons have signed Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams on a 93-day loan.

The 22-year-old looks like a great signing by Robinson, and can play in both the central midfield and the number 10 role, two areas where we are lacking at the moment. Williams also joins at just the right time to be eligible to play against Bolton tomorrow, with the squad suffering from a plague of injuries.

The loan is 93 days due to loan rules although he will only miss the last two games of the season, with his final Dons game against Brentford in April.

Williams also has a wealth of Championship experience for his age having had loans at Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest. Williams made 37 appearances in Palace`s 2012/13 promotion season, being named young player of the year, but the Wales international hasn`t had many opportunities in the Premier League this season and is keen for time on the pitch.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has nothing but praise for a player who he sees can add something different to the team, telling
“Jonny is someone who I`ve always liked from a young age. He really suits our style – he`s a very offensive player and can play in a variety of positions.

“He`s also got an unpredictability about him and a low centre of gravity which gives him that ability to drive past people. He had a massive impact on helping Palace get promoted from this division – I`m really excited about what he can bring.”
