MK Dons have signed goalkeeper Cody Cropper on a one-year deal with an option of a further year.

The 22-year-old has played regularly in USA youth sides and although he was released by Southampton at the end of last season, he played regularly in under 21 games.

While David Martin is expected to sign a new contract in the coming days, Cropper should be able to challenge him for the number 1 slot.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told mkdons.com:

“Cody has got tremendous potential and he fits the type of the person we want around the place. He`s a good size, got a great work ethic and wants to learn.”
