Something of a shortage of players, certainly in the attacking wide areas, was something of a concern for Karl Robinson.

That was until transfer deadline day when the Milton Keynes Dons boss made a swoop for Charlton’s Danny Green.

Green probably wasn’t going to have much of a Charlton future (the fact that he had made just the one start this season seems to suggest that Chris Powell doesn’t have him in his plans, at least immediately anyway), so a loan exit was a good thing for him, Charlton and most importantly MK Dons.

The former Dagenham man, who joined Charlton two-years ago, will spend the next month at stadium:mk where getting some first team football will be a good thing for him and should he do the business, which it’s hoped he will, he could earn a longer term stay.

I’d not bet against this either as Green’s proven himself at league one level, perhaps the championship was just one step too far though?
