MK Dons have this evening beaten St. James`s Gate 4-0 in a pre-season friendly.

In their first game of pre-season, Robinson named a starting line-up of: Cropper, Hodson, McFadzean, Kay, Tilney, Garvan, Carruthers, Baker, Rasulo, Bowditch and Hitchcock. Former Ipswich and Crystal Palace midfielder Owen Garvan is at the club on a trial.

The Dons got off to a great start when after just 3 minutes Tom Hitchcock, who`ll be hoping for a greater role next season, turned in Baker`s low cross.

It was another Baker cross that produced the Dons` second goal on 32 minutes, finished coolly by Giorgio Rasulo, another striker who`ll be hoping to make a break into the first team in the upcoming campaign.

And Rasulo made it 3-0 with his second goal on the stroke of half time, where yet another Baker cross was helped on by Dean Bowditch into his path.

Robinson changed the whole of his side for the second half, giving a line-up of: Burns, Spence, Flanagan, Walsh, Lewington, Hickford, Reeves, Powell, Tshimanga, Jennings and Church.

The Dons only scored the one goal in the second half, but it was a free kick from Dean Lewington. After the same thing on the last day of last season he may well be in with a shot of becoming the regular set-piece taker!

The match ended 4-0 and the Dons now have two more games left to play in Ireland.
