Striker Nicky Maynard has re-signed for MK Dons with a one year deal that will last until June 2017.
Maynard, who was the Dons` top scorer in the Championship last season with 8 goals, initially rejected a new deal at the end of the season in an effort to secure another season in the second tier. But while some Dons fans may begrudge Maynard for not accepting in the first place, in truth we are getting a talented and experienced striker who could be a real success in League One.
Robinson, who had always favoured Maynard over the likes of fans favourite Alex Revell, made no secret of his desire to keep the 29-year-old at the club. There is still lots of work to do with strikers however, with the only other strikers on the books – Church and Hitchcock – likely to leave this summer.
