MK Dons captain Dean Lewington has signed a new two year deal at the club.

The 31-year-old, who made his 500th Dons appearance late in the 2013/14 season, has been a vital part of our defence throughout the promotion campaign.

A mainstay in the side, missing just 50 games over 11 seasons, the experienced left-back should be able to hold his own in the Championship.

He told MK Dons Player:

“I`m extremely happy to be staying. I`ve always loved it here and always been really happy. It`s been a great partnership.”

There`s a lot of big teams and a lot of top-class grounds – we are all very excited about next season.”

All that`s needed is for Antony Kay to sign a new deal and Robinson will be able to head into next season with the same back-four as in League 1.
