Good Evening & Welcome To The League One Transfer News At Ten. A round-up of all the big movers and shakers in the league from the past 24 hours.

Firstly, Gareth McAuley has completed his switch from Leicester City to Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee. The Northern Ireland international defender has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Portman Road. It is a serious blow to the Foxes in their bid to be promoted straight back into the Championship next season.

Next up, Coventry City have agreed a deal to sign promising goalkeeper Kieren Westwood from Carlisle United. With a year remaining on his contract, United decided to cash in on the 23-year-old before it was too late. He also leaves League One for the Championship, after Carlisle’s unsuccessful play-off experiences.

Also, Carlisle reject Paul Arnison has signed with Bradford City after being released by United at the end of the season. Darlington were also said to be interested. Arnison drops down into League Two.

Lastly in League One transfer news, Stockport have agreed a compensation package with recently-relegated Mansfield Town to sign Johnny Mullins. The right-back has agreed a two-year deal with the Hatters, and joins League One after an unfruitful spell in League Two last season.

Elsewhere, Craig Armstrong has signed a one-year contract extension with Cheltenham.

Leeds United’s Anthony Elding has confirmed he is willing to stay at Elland Road and fight for his place, while Millwall striker Chris Zebrowski is in talks about a move to Wycombe Wanderers.

And finally, the big transfer story of the day is that Liverpool’s long-serving left-back John Arne Riise has joined AS Roma for £4m.
