No, not the former Chelsea manager!

Mathias Doumbe’s injury means that Karl Robinson needs to fill a void, although the MK Dons manager, as he told BBC Three Counties Radio, is not going to sign ‘any old player.’

He is looking for a ‘special one’ that ticks all the boxes: ‘we’re constantly charging forward to find this special one who can come into central-defence and right-back.

‘We’ve got to fill the void, but I’m not going to bring in any old player.

‘I’ve got to bring in players that are going to affect things, makes us win and stops us conceding goals.

‘I’ve got to find the right one, I’ve had a number of conversations with managers and players who have just been out of my price range.’

Doumbe will be out for at least a month, if not longer.

On the loss of the 31-year-old he added: ‘when you think he was an ever-present last year and got players’ player of the year, he’s going to be a big loss to us.’
