MK Dons have released winger Danny Green from his contract, one year before it was due to end.

The 26-year-old winger made a healthy 18 appearances last season, although had a very limited involvement in the second half of the campaign following injury and the good form of his rivals.

He was clearly good enough to be at least a squad player and has experience that would have been valuable in the Championship.

However, it`s been suggested he doesn`t fit in with Robinson`s preferred style of play, and with the Dons boss looking to bring in another winger after Dale Jennings, Green would perhaps be unlikely to have any opportunities in the first-team.

It has been reported that Green will be joining League 2 Luton Town of a free transfer.
