Brendan Galloway’s Milton Keynes Dons departure was confirmed on Saturday morning ahead of the Brackley pre-season friendly.

As expected the teenager has signed for Everton.

The fee remains undisclosed with the 18-year-old getting his move to the premier league side having expressed his desire to leave last month.

It goes without saying that Karl Robinson is disappointed to lose the talented defender but praises MK Dons and Everton for the way this deal has been conducted and feels sure the England youth international will go far.

The boss told the official website: ‘It’s disappointing for the Club and it’s disappointing for me to lose a player of Brendan’s quality.

‘I do believe Brendan can be as good as he wants to be and I wish him all the luck in the world. He’s going to a fantastic football club in Everton that will only aid his development.

‘The two clubs have conducted themselves very well during the last month and there’s been constant dialogue all the time. The two clubs have always been looking to do the best thing possible for the player.’

Had Galloway left the stadium:mk on better terms then perhaps the deal could have included a return on a season-long loan, although that would now appear unlikely?
