Tom Flanagan was meant to spend the remainder of the season away from Milton Keynes Dons, however he returned ahead of the weekend game.

Such were/are Karl Robinson’s injury problems at the stadium:mk the boss decided to bring back the defender from his loan spell with Stevenage Borough, where he should have stayed until the season ended but with them relegated and the MK Dons squad stretched the 22-year-old came back ahead of the game at Rotherham United on Saturday.

A sending off meant that the defender was back in first-team action with MK Dons too, coming on shortly before half time to play a part in the two-two draw.

During his time with Stevenage, who he joined on loan in March, Flanagan was limited to just two first-team outing though so he may as well have come back to sit on MK Dons’ bench and not Stevenage’s!
