Milton Keynes Dons battle back from two-goals down to secure an opening day win over Gillingham on Saturday.

With half time approaching at the stadium:mk, and MK Dons two-nil down, the whole complexion of the game changed in the last minute of the half. A goal inspired a 4-2 fightback win.

McDonald (7) got Gillingham off to a great start as he went through to open the scoring and when he was fouled by ‘keeper Martin Kedwell (27) had the chance to double the lead from the penalty spot, which he duly did!

Half time was looming when Hause (44) marked his Gillingham debut the way the defender wouldn’t have wanted to, with an own goal to send us into the break two-one down but with hope!

Midway through the second half this hope was turned into expectation as Grigg (68) headed home to level, two-minutes later McFadzean (70) marked his debut with another header to put us three-two up.

Another own goal, this time from Legge (73), made it three-goals in five-minutes and secured a four-two win.
