Danny Wilson says that his team won’t take the trip to Hartlepool United lightly and has told his players to use fear as their motivation.

He shouldn’t have to remind them about last season’s 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Hartlepool but has told the players to remember how that defeat felt and use it as their motivation.

Wilson says the team are full of confidence and they believe they can win.

‘We won’t think it will be easy, going to Hartlepool is always tough and we’re under no illusions about what they are capable of, and we found that out last season with a 5-0 defeat. They are capable of doing that to quite a few teams on their day, but I think you’ve seen in the past few months that we are resolute away from home and I wouldn’t think the same will happen this weekend, at least I hope so!’

He also said:

‘We are not easy to score against at the moment and we create chances at the other end. The confidence is high and it would be great to go up there and continue that good form. I know we can get goals, it’s not like the chances have dried up. But we have to put a greater percentage away and if we do that we’ll be in a much higher position in the league.’

Before finishing with a goal promise!

‘You can’t knock our performances of late, we have been terrific in the last few weeks. And the goals will come, mark my words.’
