If was with great sadness that MK Dons announced today Chief Scout Andy King had passed away following a sudden heart attack in his home.

King was most famous during his playing career for his time with Everton, where he spent seven-years at Goodison Park, before moving onto QPR and West Brom. After a couple of years back with Everton he spent time in Holland and Sweden.

As a manager King took charge of Mansfield and, having previously been assistant, then Swindon. Spells as manager with Grays, and most recently Northampton, were also held by King before he came to the stadium:mk on February 2014, in this time King has been recruiting players for Karl Robinson as our Chief Scout.

His passing, at the age of just 58, is a great loss and our thoughts are with his wife and family and friends at this difficult time.
