Keith Andrews made his first pre-season appearance for the MK Dons since requesting a transfer, and his performance and goal pleased manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Although Di Matteo was pleased with the way Andrews performed, and praised the captains fine 30-yard strike he insists that the win was about the team performance and didn’t want to single out individuals: ‘He’s a quality player and he’s settling down now,’ Di Matteo told the official website. ‘For his first 90 minutes he did very well.

‘It was a very good goal, a great goal. He’s a good player but it’s about the team performance, not individuals.’
