Dele Alli has been linked with a loan move to Charlton, Brentford and Fulham next season, as well as a return to MK Dons, but the plan is to have him playing Premier League football from the off.

Alli’s ability isn’t in doubt and potentially he could go all the way to the very top in the game and whilst Spurs signed him to play Premier League football some had expected that he might spend some, if not all, of next season away from White Hart Lane in a loan capacity somewhere at Championship level?

Reports in the Sun claimed such interest from that trio of clubs, although Brentford will still be hopeful that they’ll be in the topflight themselves next season, with Karl Robinson also saying that he hoped, as much as Alli’s £5m January exit would ‘leave a legacy’ anyway, we might bring him back for our Championship campaign but Spurs’ Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has signed him to be part of his first-team next season as he’s said that he’s feels he’s got the potential to ‘play at the highest level now.’

One thing that isn’t going to happen, even though the League 1 season has now ended with him officially returning to his parent club after his loan return to us, is that the 19-year-old isn’t going to play any part in the final two Premier League matches that Spurs have this season – it’s unclear if this would even be possible but further reports say that it isn’t going to be the case anyway….

It’ll be interesting to see what does happen with him next season but if Spurs do decide that a loan spell at Championship level could be beneficial then a return to the stadium:mk would seem the most logical of moves wouldn’t it!
