10 trialists will battle for a place in the MK Dons squad.

Martin Allen`s last move as an MK Dons player saw him release 7 of the squad, including two goalkeepers. That bold move left Dons with only 1 keeper left in George Bankole.

Ince will take the whole squad plus the trialists to Portugal tomorrow for an intense week of training, where they will train 3 times a day. MKD.vitalfootball.co.uk understands that 3 of the 10 trialists are in fact keepers.

The trialists are yet to be officially named but we can expect an update from Ince naming the new signings in the next two weeks.

Some of the rumoured names to be trying out for their place on the 07/08-squad photo are Mark Wright (formally of Walsall), Nathan Abbey (formally of Brentford) and Johnny Hayes!

  • dont want nathan abbey to be honest was a w****r when he came here wid torquay and dont rate him at all but if it is jonny hayes then that would be awesome he was brilliant last season and need few more wkd players and we will be alright not impressed with the 3 that anounced at the min but hopefully the other lot will be better

  • Happy with Jonny Hayes im certain he will prove his worth if he is signed up. Definately not satified with Nathan Abbey he is no better than Bankole in my eyes we need a keeper with some quality about him, somebody like Wayne Hennessey from Stockport Last Season.

  • yeye well we got sam russell on trial he will be brilliant i think he was quality when he came down with darlo to play us just couple defender n 1 midfielder and 1 attacker and we will b alrite i tthink cmon u dons

  • No Johnny Hayes for us at MK, looks like Allen has gone and snapped him up on a free to Leicester. Martin if you’re listening, we’re take him on loan for a season!!!
